Dress: BCBG
Belt: Brave
Sandals: Target
Bag: Co-Lab by Christopher Kon
Bangles: Forever 21

For some reason the beginning of September seems to {unofficially} mark the end of Summer.  We still have a few weeks left, but there is this shift that seems to happen after Labour Day.  It gets darker earlier, there’s a coolness to the air, and I start thinking about my wardrobe for the upcoming season.

The word you will hear over and over again this next month is transition.  I start thinking/purchasing transition items at the beginning of August.   When shopping I ask myself, “Can I wear this now?” and “How will I wear it for Fall?”   I picked up this little BCBG dress at their outlet right near where I live.  It’s been perfect for now with sandals and boho accessories.  You will definitely see me reworking this dress in to the Fall season.  How?  You’ll have to check back.

I’ve always loved winter white.  Now that we are into November, my thoughts go to cozy nights by the fire and crisp evening walks wearing layers of knits.  Being wrapped up in comfort is essential this time of year.  Adding bits of luxe, like gold accessories, is an easy way to keep chic in your winter cozies.

Jersey is a fabric that is notoriously casual.  Lately, it has been my go-to fabric.  It’s comfortable, breathable, and most importantly stretchy.  Most maternity wear seems to come in jersey and it can be easy to feel a bit schlepy (my word).  To avoid feeling like I’m out in my PJ’s, I’ve been choosing items in richer tones for Fall…or upcoming Fall.  I find the right accessories can elevate my look too.  I have had this floral necklace for years.  It adds instant wow to any outfit.  How do you dress up your jersey?
