Fashion tends to recycle itself. True, it will be done in a slightly different way, but inspiration for our current fashions often come from the past. A current look many of us are loving is the coloured denim trend. It’s such a cute and fun way to add some colour to our wardrobes for Spring.
I found this 1999 Levis ad on You-Tube recently. The ad is perfectly demonstrating how trends come in again. Colored denim was hot in the 60′s, again in the 90′s and now here we are in 2012 and it’s back again.
Are there any trends or looks from the past you wish would come back?
I’m sure by now you’ve all seen the many ads for Levis new Curve ID Jeans. On Friday night I finally made the trip downtown with one of my very fashionable girlfriends, to given them a try for myself. I knew I would be a girl needing the Bold Curve (yes, I’ve got the booty!). I tried both the straight leg and bootcut in dark blue washes. My thoughts on the jeans…..
All in all they seem like a pretty good jean at the price point of $70- $80 (depending on wash and cut). I hadn’t tried on a pair of Levis since high school. So it’s been a few(ish) years. I’m definitely still a premium denim girl. I love the fit and feel of the higher end denim, but like I said, for the price they’re great (as long as you’re not too tall).
Tried these jeans? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
