It’s officially September and Fall is whispering is presence on the cooler breeze.  A couple weeks ago, I styled a fabulous photo shoot for Framework Magazine’s September issue (out today).  With so many amazing photos to choose from, and only a snippet being represented in the magazine, I couldn’t help but share more of what we worked so hard on.  I think  it is my favorite shoot I’ve styled to date.

I am really loving all the blue this season.  There are so many shades to choose from so I’ve been wearing blue with, well, more blue.  In this month’s issue of Framework Magazine , myself and the rest of The Style Common crew are modeling some very pretty date looks.  I loved my outfit so much I bought it!  (Granted, I was the stylist for this shoot too, so it was inevitable that this would happen.)  Be sure to get caught up on this month’s issue.  The March Issue will be out soon.

Hot weather vacation attire should be easy, comfortable, and simple.  I don’t want to spend time getting ready or fuss over what to wear.  I find I can’t really go wrong with a breezy skirt, pretty tank, and a pop of colour.  Yesterday I headed to Mama’s Fish House for an AMAZING lunch with my family.  We feasted on gourmet eats so needless to say I was grateful for the elastic waist on this skirt.   After lunch we went back to the beach at our condo for some time in the sun, a swim in the pool, and a stroll to check out the beachy boutiques across the way.  I’m already planning to retire here…just a few years away;)

Skirt: Forever 21, Tank: sample sale,  Necklace: H&M,  Clutch: sample sale,  Sandals: Miz Mooz,  Sunnies: Aldo Accessories,  Lip Colour: Joe Fresh

To see this skirt in a whole new look, check out this month’s issue of Framework Magazine.  Yes, I bought the skirt after modeling it in the February issue.  Love it!

I always adore this time of the year for how full my dance card seems to be.  Tons of fashion shows, shopping events, photoshoots, styling, and writing of course.  Here’s what I’ve been up to lately.

It was quite the full week.  I was lucky enough to finish it off with a four night trip to Portland with my Hubby to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.  The past few months have been a journey of new things and I couldn’t be more delighted.   “The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings.”  Dave Weinbaum

Matt  and Ashley of Mala Imports are one of the loveliest couples I have met in long time.   There were no formal handshakes from them the first time I met them…just hugs all around.  These two have a most inspiring story about how Mala Imports came to be.  You can read their story in this month’s issue of Framework Magazine.

While these pretty beads are often associated with Yogis and meditators (Yes, Julia Roberts wore Mala pieces on Eat, Pray, Love), you will also find your neighbor, sister, fave bloggers and fashionistas  rocking these bracelets and necklaces.  Want to join the group?  I am giving away a Mala Imports Bali Moon Bracelet.

How to enter to win:

1) Check out the Mala Imports site (click here), then comment on this post with what your favorite Mala piece is.
