Lately, I have been coming out of my black and grey cocoon, and adding  some pops of colour to my life.  This look is a big pop!  When I first started to accessorize this dress, I was grabbing subtle and neutral items but I felt like this dress could handle more.  So instead I grabbed this big orange clutch (that is made of the most buttery soft leather) and some shiney gold things.  I even opted to add in one more bit of colour with this pretty pink matte lip colour by Lise Watier.  Sometimes a girl just needs to stand out.

This dress though!  It fits like a glove, is soft and stretchy, and very flattering on my curves.  I was recently introduced to this LA and London designed label, Voodoo Vixen.  They are known for their vintage inspired designs and definitely cater to a curvy gal (yes, they even come in plus sizes!)  This green hue is a red head’s dream come true.  It might just be the dress I’ll be wearing to celebrate my second Mother’s Day as a Momma.

For some reason the beginning of September seems to {unofficially} mark the end of Summer.  We still have a few weeks left, but there is this shift that seems to happen after Labour Day.  It gets darker earlier, there’s a coolness to the air, and I start thinking about my wardrobe for the upcoming season.

The word you will hear over and over again this next month is transition.  I start thinking/purchasing transition items at the beginning of August.   When shopping I ask myself, “Can I wear this now?” and “How will I wear it for Fall?”   I picked up this little BCBG dress at their outlet right near where I live.  It’s been perfect for now with sandals and boho accessories.  You will definitely see me reworking this dress in to the Fall season.  How?  You’ll have to check back.

Co-Lab by Christopher Kon has just launched their official website!  I have been a fan of this Canadian based handbag line for a while now.  I have quite a few in my handbag collection.   They are fun, casual, and stylish.  The perfect bags for the everyday!

Here are a few of my faves…..

Although we have quite a bit of winter to get through, I can’t help but think about Spring…everyday.  I’m starting to clean out my closet and go through my Spring pieces to see what I have and what I “need”.  Need…such a silly word;-)

Whether I’ve been trolling fashion sites online, going through my magazines, or studying the look book at work for our upcoming Spring Season, one thing has been consistent…Coral is gonna be huge!

I love coral!  Orange happens to be my favorite color, so this is going to be a great season.  The former Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano‘s S2012 Collection was full of vibrant colour which included my coveted hue!  He showed anything from tulle gowns to cropped pants which had a simple elegance to them.

If you’re like me and just can’t wait to start wearing this fun and happy warmer weather colour, then don’t!  There are always ways to add a pop of coral to your wardrobe, even in the drab winter.  I recently bought this beautiful Christopher Kon orange leather clutch.

It will be great paired with chocolate browns, greys, and winter white for now.  Later I will pair it with crisp white and mix it with other fun colors like yellow and turquoise.
