1) Konifer wood watch (c/o) : A very cool Canadian brand of watches all made of wood.  This oversized one is a beauty.
2) I Wear the Headdress head wraps:  Hot days mean keeping my hair up and back.
3) my Mansur Gavriel bucket bag + clutch : Nothing new, but love bring out some old faves after a while.
4) little gold rings
5) Fall fashion mags : Not really doing my usual Fall wardrobe planning.  With a big baby bump to dress, I’ll just be doing the best I can.
6) Racinne Ultimate Youth Power Eye Serum (c/o):  My new go-to to help battle my tired eyes.  It’s youth in a bottle.

Every girl needs a whole arsenal of beauty products to maintain and polish their lovely selves.  Here are a few of my must have items I can’t be without.

The first is (a) Lancome’s Hypnose mascara .  Hands down the best mascara I’ve ever used.  It thickens and lengthens my lashes without all the clumping.

Another Prairie Girl must have is my (b) Abba Shampoo and Conditioner.  This hair care line is 100% vegan, free of synthetic dyes, and sulfate free.  They use things like coconut and wheat protein which gives it a yummy smell.

My (c) Two Faced Sun Bunny bronzer is a must.  It gives me a healthy glow year round.

(d) Lancome Juicy Tubes is the ultimate lip gloss.   They come in tons of shades and really give your pout a good shine.

I love (e) Bath & Bodyworks hand gel.  For only $1.50 it sanitizes, moisturizes, and smells clean and fresh.

I’ve saved the best for last.  As most of you surely know, washing your hair everyday is a real no-no.  It strips the hair of all it’s natural oils and actually dries out your hair.  To get  from wash to wash with out a hat or a slicked back ponytail, I use (f) Rockaholic’s Dry Shampoo.  Just shake, spray it on, and rub it in to your skelp.  Wa-la!  My hair is fabulous again and has a ton of volume.

I found a great new nail polish that I”m loving!  It’s American Apparel’s Nail Lacquer.  They have awesome colours and a good variety.  I bought “Office”, a light green colour and ” Mount Royal”, which is a bright royal blue.  I like that it goes on thick so you only have to put on one coat.  It will stay a bit tacky for a while though, so make  sure you give it time to dry.  They retail for $7 each or you can mix and match 3 for $18.

I love to spend money on the finer things in life but sometimes a b-b-budget (phew, got it out) is necessary.   There are great products out there that won’t break the bank.  True, it might not have a sexy package, but the goods will still do

the job.

My current obsession is Life Brand Epsom Salts.  Recently I’ve been battling a cold and a cup of tea and warm bath are my before bed remedy.  Try the Eucalyptus scented salts for a spa feel at home.  Not only can you add it to your bath for a soak, but it makes an excellent exfoliant.  Just apply undiluted as a scrub to rough skin patches and rub gently.  It will make your skin fresh, clean, and summer beautiful!  The best part…a 2kg bag is only $8.

So, today was one of those days.  Got a hole in my dress, broke a shoe…you know the kind of day I mean? Lucky for me, I work in the wonderful world of Fashion Retail and can just pick out something new to wear when I have a wardrobe malfunction.  However, when I’m not at work and have a mishap, I keep my purse stocked with tools to get me through it.  Here are just a few goodies I keep in my bag.

Hollywood Fashion Tape:  This stuff is awesome!  It will keep a blouse from unbuttoning, your wr

ap skirt from opening, or fix a hem in a pinch.

Gal Pal Deodorant Remover: This little treated sponge wipes away those annoying white deodorant streaks we tend to get on our clothes when getting dressed in a hurry.

Krazy Glue:  It literally fixes everything.  Today it fixed my broken shoe.  I recommend the pen style one.  It’s great for fixing small detail items.

Tide To Go: Yes, I can be a bit of a klutz.  Food and coffee seem to easily find their way on to my clothes.  It just makes sense to have one with you at all times.  (Especially those of you who have kids.)

Other arsenal to keep handy: safety pins, band-aids, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, hair brush, travel size hair spray, lip gloss, hair elastic, I Love My Muff wipes, Kleenex, gum/mints, travel toothbrush and paste.

Buy yourself a cute little make-up bag to keep your “Kit” in.  Now you’re a gal ready to take on the World!  So Monday, bring it on.  We’re ready for anything!!!
