It’s not too late!  You’ve still got time to find last minute fabulous gifts for the ladies still on your list.  Last week I went to one of my favorite local boutiques {Barefoot Contessa} to finish my Christmas shopping and maybe pick up a couple things for myself too.  It’s just all too hard to resist.

For the gardener…

Paperwhites {$18}.  These beauties have been made by Barefoot Contessa boutique owner herself.  She has sourced beautiful vintage silverware and teacups and filled them with forced bulbs.  A pretty little plant with white flowers  will grow over the winter.  Then this Spring they can be transferred into a bigger pot for outside.

For the tea lover…

As a tea lover myself, this is the type of gift I love to give.  The perfect thing for winter nights.
Gold Lip teacup & saucer $29.90
Honey dipper $7.95
Teapot teabag dish $3.95
Teatime pastel napkins $6
Peppermint tea $3.95

For the hostess…

Are you the one bringing the desert to your Christmas soiree?  Why not bring your lovely hostess a gorgeous glittery cake server {$20.95} and spoons {$6.95 each}?  Available in gold and silver.
Sidebar: Panetone {Italian Christmas sweet bread} is one of the most delicious things ever!  Happy to give and receive it.

All these lovely things are available at Barefoot Contessa except the Panetone which I purchased at Home Sense.

The holiday season is in full swing, and that means parties and festive get togethers.  Most of our parties are on the more casual side these days, but I make sure I have at least one occasion  to get all dolled up!  Besides choosing a flattering silhouette, I make sure that the pieces I chose for the holidays can still work there way into my wardrobe when the making merry season is over.  This skirt will be perfect in the Spring too and these shoes will go with anything!

Barefoot Contessa is one of those local fabulous boutiques that I am bound to score some perfect pieces of pretty.  I was drawn to this skirt immediately.  I adore this style of skirt (flattering on almost all body types), however the popular ones out there don’t exactly fit a gal with some curvy bits.  This skirt has all the components I’ve been looking for…elastic waist, lady like length, lined, a gorgeous print, and under $100. The store is full of so many beautiful pieces like taffeta skirts, faux fur coats, lacey dresses, and sequins galore.  They truly have anything I could possible need this holiday.

A look back at some of the summer time looks I’ve styled this season for Framework Magazine.  I hope to inspire you:)

Even though it’s not quite Spring yet, I’m adding my own little bits of sunshine to my days.  Here are a few of my current favourite things…Prairie Girl approved!

Vovito Island Grapefruit candle…This amazing fragrance reminds me of Hawaii.  It”s like a little jar of paradise!  I keep it in my bedroom.

Pandora tulip-pearl ring.  I’m a Pandora lover, and this ring is perfectly pretty.  My sister just happened to have bought me the matching earrings last year.  The ring was a “To Me, Love Me” gift.

Cupcake Red Velvet wine.

“Our first blended red wine for Cupcake Vineyards has over the top aromas of chocolate, deep rich blackberries, red fruits that follow through the palate to a creamy mocha finish that is unmistakable in its intensity and length, with a hint of coconut. It’s reminiscent of a blackberry chocolate cupcake with a mocha coulis.”   Why wouldn’t you try it after reading all that!?!

These sweaters from Vancouver Boutique, Barefoot Contessa , are so perfectly cute and cheery!   A great piece to help the transition in to Spring.  (Pics from the Barefoot Contessa Facebook page)

I saw these cute little teapots at David’s Tea today.  They have a built in infuser for your loose leaf tea.  I want one!

Vancouver based designer Trudy Wynans launched her unique handcrafted jewellery collection in the Spring of 2006.  I discovered how much I love the line in the Fall of 2011.

I had the pleasure of attending this years One Of A Kind Show Vancouver.   I was overwhelmed with the variety of talent and plan on sharing some of my favourite vendors I found, one of which was TOODLEBUNNY.   I picked myself up a super cute gold owl neckl

ace from her TOODLES collection.

So many owls to choose from (my fave), but I went with the gold on gold one on the far left.

Trudy’s designs have an organic feel with use of birds, tusks, and leaves.  There is an element of fun and whimsy along with clean and modern lines.  Her pieces feel girly and feminine with a bit of an edge.  I think this is what drew me to her collection.

I love this piece!  The gold heart and bow are so sweet, but the element of black adds personality to a sweet necklace.

Another amazing piece.  This bracelet is 14k gold woven with leather.  It has amazing texture and the multi chain fringe!?!…amazing!

If you’d like to see even more of Trudy’s designs, visit her website by clicking here .  You can currently find the TOODLEBUNNY and Toodles collections at some amazing local Vancouver boutiques like the Barefoot Contessa, Briers, and LYNN Steven.
