About Me

Prairie Girl in the City is a space where I share my love of fashion and all things pretty. My goal is to inspire women who don’t see themselves represented in the fashion world.  I believe that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and every woman has the right to feel beautiful.

I have been fortunate enough to work in many aspects of the industry.  I started out modeling in my teens and early twenties and since then I have worked in fashion show production, retail, buying, styling, jewelry design, and anything else I could find related to the industry.  Over the years my passion has taken me on traveling adventures to places like New York, Germany, and France.  Travelling is good for the soul.

I have been fortunate enough to have written and/or done styled articles for Fashion Magazine, Flare.com, and Framework Magazine and  have  collaborated with brands such as Joe Fresh, Old Navy, Mavi, Live Clean, and many more.  I have also done freelance styling and event hosting work.

As my career has changed over the years so has my lifestyle.  I have gone from a single girl who moved from the Prairies to the City, and now I am a wife and mother with a lovely home in the burbs of Vancouver.  Through it all my personal style continues to evolve.  I hope to share what I’ve learned and help women find their own style.

I love hearing from you, so be sure to add a comment, or drop me a line.
