Who do you think is the most exciting Canadian designer right now? Why?
The Canadian twins Dean and Dan of DSquared are always exciting to me. I adore how they always have some Canadian represented in their collections. You’ll see anything from Fair Isle sweaters to Anorak jackets in their collections. You might even find a maple leaf smack dab in the middle of a t-shirt or belt buckle. They play on the iconic Canadian images with a bit of whimsy. Can’t say I’d wear everything from their collection, but it’s always interesting
Where do you get your inspiration from?
I find inspiration absolutely everywhere, magazines, blogs, my friends, or even someone walking down the street. That’s what I love about fashion.
What would you say is your favorite era in fashion?
I really adore the 1920s. It was such a glamorous era.
What is a favorite post you have written?
I’d have to say a post I did on my site about my wedding. Part of it is sentimental reasons that make it a favorite, but it was so fun to share a little piece of my big day.
Who do you think is the best dressed celebrity?
I always enjoy seeing what Carey Mulligan is wearing. She has a lovely feminine style and always looks like a lady.
What is your favorite item in your closet right now?
I am completely in love with this little J Crew Sweater I bought. It’s an off white with little knit black bows all over it. It feels a bit Chanel to me.
