I’ve always loved me some good food! Luckily I married an Italian who happens to be a foodie too so food and wine have become an even bigger part of my life.
When events like EAT! Vancouver come up, I jump at the chance sample new foods, experience new flavors, and find new favorites!

I spent the day booth-hopping sampling treats like Italian meatballs from Trattoria and Indonesian style peanut sauce with peppers, asian greens, roasted peanuts, herbs, sprouts and coconut milk on ribbon noodles from a fave place of mine The Noodle Box…sounds good right? On top of that I discovered new products like local Vancouver Churn Butter and the best ceasar products ever The Extreme Bean and B’n Olive by Mat & Steve’s.

We took in a cooking presentation on the Celebrity Stage with David Rocco, the host of Food Network’s David Rocco’s Dolce Vita. It was great for me to see how easy Italian cooking can be. Rocco taught me that quality ingredients make the dish, not the cook. That’s good news for me!

Any other foodies out there? What’s your favorite dish to make?
