The Oscars are an awards show where I actually care about the awards and winners. I was thrilled to see The King’s Speech as the big winner of the night. I’m a big fan of the movie! But as always, fashion is the other big talk of the night.
Red was a huge color this year on the red carpet. Celebs like Sandra Bullock, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Hudson, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Lawrence all rocked this hot hue.
There were also some very pretty looks in metallic tones and soft neutral shades. These ladies kept it simple but glamorous.
One look I really loved tonight was Amy Adams. True she’s a fellow ginger, so I might be a bit biased, but this rich color with her red hair was amazing. I felt like the emerald necklace was a bit of overkill for a gown that sparkles on its own.
I thought the prettiest look of the night was Mina Kunis in her Ellie Saab dress. I loved the sexy lace peekaboo neckline and the soft feminine ruffles. The color is perfectly lovely too.
Perhaps the most talked about dress of the night was Cate Blanchett’s Givenchy Couture gown. I loved the unexpected color combination of soft lilac and neon yellow. The line of the pattern on the front of this dress was a bit harder to love.
