My boyfriend recently added all of our wine to Cellar Tracker. It’s a great online tool that allows you to read other users’ reviews on wines in your collection as well as get suggested drinking windows.
We have 3 bottles of 2006 Quails’ Gate Estate Winery Pinot Noir and the suggested drinking window is 2009 – 2010, so we thought it was a good one to try.
This time I’ ll try to rate using the 100-point rating scale.

Tasting Notes: The nose is quite light and not as earthy as is typical for BC pinot noir. The color is a little cloudy but could be a result of my poor decanting. The palate is bit of a let-down; it’s smooth but thin. I can detect a bit of cherries and pepper. All and all a nice wine but nothing to write home about. Hhmm? Why am I writing about this then?
Anyway, I guess we’ll keep the other 2 on the shelf for another couple of years to see if we get any improvement with age.
